Basiltini

When I was staying at the Laki hotel in Mamaia, Romania, for the AW Summit, I went to grab a drink to go relax with outside by the Black Sea. The hotel has a small bar but it's fairly well stocked, and my favorite bartender there, Mihai, is really into making craft cocktails, which a bartender like that can be hard to find in Romania. He was really excited to make me cocktails different from what he usually gets to make there. So when I asked for a creating me something different with fresh mint, he told me he had something better I might like. He went on to describe a Basil Smash Martini. My bunny ears perked at the sound of basil because I LOOOOVE basil! I quickly agreed and he happily made me the drink, which has now become one of my favorite cocktails ever! So a HUGE thank you to the wonderful Mihai for introducing me to this tasty and refreshing drink! It's so good I had to share the recipe with you all too!
